Role
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Terraform Engineer to equally own two things: (1) infrastructure-as-code strategy across our AWS environment, and (2) GenAI-powered AIOps built on Amazon Bedrock that modernizes monitoring, incident response, and operational efficiency. You will architect our Terraform module ecosystem and our Bedrock-based operational intelligence layer, mentor junior engineers, and standardize practices across Kubernetes/OpenShift-based platforms.
Primary Skills: AWS Cloud | Terraform (Advanced) | Amazon Bedrock / GenAI | Kubernetes | OpenShift | AIOps
Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, and own enterprise-grade Terraform module libraries — reusable, versioned, remote state management, policy-as-code and drift governance
Design, provision, and manage core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM) per Well-Architected Framework principles, including container orchestration on OpenShift and Kubernetes
Provision and manage Amazon Bedrock resources via Terraform — model access, agents, knowledge bases, guardrails, provisioned throughput
Design and implement GenAI-powered AIOps workflows using Bedrock models for incident summarization, log/alert correlation, root-cause hypotheses, and ChatOps-style natural-language querying
Build automated alert triage, noise reduction, and runbook generation using Bedrock, integrated with CloudWatch/Prometheus/Grafana/ELK
Own Bedrock security posture — IAM/model-invocation permissions, guardrails for PII/data privacy, prompt security
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and GenAI-tooling delivery (GitOps workflows, automated plan/apply gates)
Mentor engineers on Terraform, AWS architecture, and GenAI-driven operations; own incident response, runbooks, and cost/governance across AWS accounts
Required Skills
AWS / Terraform / Platform
Proven, senior-level experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.)
Strong, advanced expertise in Terraform — module design, state management, CI/CD integration, policy-as-code
Hands-on experience with OpenShift and deep Kubernetes experience (RBAC, Helm, networking)
Strong CI/CD tooling and pipeline design experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Tekton)
GenAI / Bedrock / AIOps
Hands-on production experience with Amazon Bedrock — model invocation, agents, knowledge bases (RAG), guardrails, provisioned throughput — provisioned/integrated via Terraform
Practical experience building GenAI-driven operational tooling — ChatOps, log/alert summarization, automated runbooks
Understanding of LLM cost/latency tradeoffs, prompt security, and guardrail design for operational use cases
Ability to integrate Bedrock into observability stacks (CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana) for AIOps use cases
Cross-cutting
Demonstrated ability to lead technical design decisions and review others' IaC and Bedrock-integration code
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems
Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities
Preferred
HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate/Professional
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional / DevOps Engineer – Professional / AI Practitioner or GenAI-focused cert
Experience with other GenAI platforms (OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude API) for comparative context
Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation and Bedrock SDK integration
Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
